Hi all

Angele Veltmeijer was our tutor last Tuesday.

We played a great Keith Jarrett tune "Lucky Southern" which is a bossa nova. The form is two A sections, B and a C section. It has a really strong melody which has stayed with me all week and a lovely chord sequence to match.

The other tune was "Israel" played by numerous artists among them Gerry Mulligan, Miles Davis etc. which is a minor blues with an unusual set of chord changes to solo over.  

The members showed how much they have learnt from attending the workshops through being able to play nice solos on the above tunes with ease.

I am pleased to say Angele is with us again this Tuesday so come along and join in.
