Hi all,

Thank you to all the members who came along to the workshop which Tom Phelan took last Tuesday. We did two great tunes, "Re:Person I Knew" by Bill Evans which we had covered in the previous week's workshop and Wayne Shorter's "Witch Hunt"  for which excuse the pun.

Tom gave us a sheet with all the related chord scales that we all played through and used as a basis for our solos. He then went on and in great detail discussed playing a motif and quite a number of ways on how to elaborate on it. We had a thoroughly good time with Tom who did a great job.

Please join us on this coming Tuesday when we have bassist Nigel Thomas who will put us through our paces. Nigel can be heard playing with various musicians on the Brighton scene.
