Hi All

First I would like to apologise to all the members who attended last week's workshop expecting to have Roderick Hart as our tutor but due to an error on my part he was not able to be with us.

In his absence I took the members through the tune that Rod had sent us and a very good one it turned out to be.  It was "New Waltz" written by bass player/arranger/composer Geoff Gascoyne.

It has a lovely melody and a lot of chord changes to solo over; it had eleven key centres so it was good practice as the scales involved went from easy C Major to difficult F# Major.  By the end of the evening we played  the theme and everyone was able to solo.

I am very delighted to say Rod will definitely be with us this Tuesday so please come along and join us.
