Hi all

Sue Richardson was our tutor last Tuesday,

She took us through a tune she had written "Too Cool" based on the harmony of the standard "There's a Small Hotel".

She suggested several ways of soloing by following the chords and then trying to think of melodies as opposed to following the chord changes and letting your ear take over.

Also start on different beats of the bar, not on one all the time and to leave space.

We had a very enjoyable evening with Sue who is appearing at Ronnie Scott's shortly.

This Tuesday Terry Seabrook is with us again so expect to have another great evening.
