Hi All
Last Tuesday Geoff Simkins took us through "Glo's Theme" written by trumpeter Tommy Turrentine. The first sixteen bars are a series of ascending II-V7-I in semitones, by contrast to the bridge ascending II-V7-I in whole tones, with the last eight similar to the second eight bars.
So there were a lot of changes to play over which Geoff gave very good advice on how to approach ways of soloing over said changes. Everyone was able to play through them well which was a tall order.
This week Terry Seabrook is back with us so please come along. Also the bass players and drummers amongst you, if you are reading this on our blog and have never been to one of our workshops or not recently, please come along and you will be made most welcome.

See you Tuesday. Music attached.
