Hi all

Last Tuesday Bassist George Treber was our tutor.

He had us to work on the song “The Sunny Side of the Street” with the accent on memorising the melody and the chord changes.

His encouraged us to sing the melody and identify the note intervals, then sing the chord roots. Again identifying the intervals involved so you can internalise them. The aim is to learn the song so you do not rely on always needing the sheet music in front of you.

 George was very entertaining and had a relaxed way of teaching.   He is with us again this coming Tuesday.
