Last Tuesday Angele took the workshop.
We played “I Mean You” by “Thelonious Monk”
Which has quite a tricky melody line which is typical of Monks style of music?
The other tune we played was “Nostalgia in Times Square”
By Mingus which is a sort of blues but with an unusual
Chord sequence.
Both tunes were very interesting to play. We had a good turnout and over the last few weeks we have had new People coming along.

The tutor for the next two Tuesdays is bass player
George Trebar. Who has played with a number of well
Known jazz Musicians.

Member John latham is looking for musicians to form a group playing Blue Note music. John plays Alto and tenor and would is seeking the following: Bass, Keyboard, drums and another frontline instrument.
