Hi All

 

Last Tuesday night even though it was very windy and raining Tom Phelan our tutor decided we should all play outside!

But fear not I am glad to say he meant for us to have a greater understanding of soloing over one chord. One such tune is McCoy Tyner’s “Passion Dance”

In essence one thinks this is easy but to create interesting solos over one chord in this case F7 sus4 Concert one needs more than one scale to achieve this end.

To which Tom provided us with a wealth of information and in no time at all he had us all playing interesting lines

Tom is with us again this Tuesday so I would encourage you to attend.

The Tune we will be working on is “Speak No Evil” which I sent out to you last week.
