Hi all

I was unfortunately unable to attend Tuesday's workshop. Terry Seabrook was our tutor for the evening and I have received good reports from the members that they had a most enjoyable and interesting time under Terry's direction.

We are fortunate that Terry is with us again this coming Tuesday and he will be going over the tunes they did last week and if time allows he will introduce something new

The following week our tutor is sax man Simon D'Souza.

I have received the following email from member Charles Baines

Dear all

Just to let you know that I'm organising a charity music concert on

Sunday June 23rd at the Brunswick at 7pm.

The concert will feature a number of musicians including the fabulous Djembe Divas (an ensemble of women drummers), Irish folk music, Annie Whittingham (folk), Night Jar (soulful singing) and The Brighton Jazz-co-op trio (with me on guitar).

There will also be an auction with lots of enticing lots, such as a guitar lesson, a restaurant voucher, a trip on the Brighton wheel, a Chinese lesson, a tennis racket, a print by a London artist, jewellery and many more things.

The evening will be compared by local comedian Martin Henley.

Entrance to the concert is just £7.

Money raised will go towards my Kenyan charity, Langalanga, which funds the secondary education of poor children in Kenya. By educating the brightest and most ambitious children, the charity hopes to increase the children's potential to make a difference in their country.

Every penny donated goes directly to the education of the scholars.

The patron of the charity is the Earl of Carnarvon.

Here is the Langalanga website: http://www.langalanga.org.uk/index.html

Hope to see you there.

Charles
