We had a cracking evening last Tuesday with Terry Seabrook
Who took us through the mysteries of Latin Jazz?
With the different rhythms played by Latin percussionist on
Congas, bongos etc. and Montunos (a repetitive rhythmic pattern ) which we played on piano, guitar aand horns on the tune Mambo Inn.
We all had a chance to solo throughout the evening
Plus we had two people on percussion .
And talking of percussion we now have our own Drum kit
For use of our members So there is no need for drummers to bring their own kits any more.
And the good news is Terry is with us again this coming Tuesday and we will be playing the tunes again that we did last Tuesday plus new ones.
