The mission of the Brighton Jazz Coop is to organise a regular programme of educational jazz improvisation workshops in Brighton, Sussex, UK

This Tuesday sees the wonderful Jake Goss running the session. Jake
had a big success with his Banyan band and album. See you there.
| Returning this Tuesday, by popular demand, is our very own Tim Sweets Bolwell. Tacking off his hat as Chair of the BJMC and putting on his tutors hat. Tim's well planned sessions, never just "throwing" sheet music at us, evolve organically testing and challenging our basic musical skills, building up to some inspired blowing and soloing. The last session Tim ran got the group to create their own composition to solo over, and was described by one member as a breath of fresh air and the best session in an age. This time Tim promises to reveal the secret to becoming a great Jazz musician, apart from hard work, more hard work and hard work. Our advice is come early and be prepared to sing, clap, dance and play your socks off. |
Best wishes,
Tim
