Angelic Sessions

Co-opistas had the pleasure of Angele Veltmeijer running our workshop for the last two weeks. We looked at the many scales that could be used to solo in the song I Remember April, sadly I didn't but hey! All in all another outstanding two weeks taught by one of our best female sax players.
Remember that next week is a jam session, and with Corrado on drums and Pye on bass. Everyone can bring two or three charts with them and play different songs. Two pounds on the door and guests are welcome.
Rob Andrews.

Fwd: tunes 4 tuesday

Message from Angele,

We had a good session on form last week. From easy to complicated. We ended with I'll remember april.

People felt it would be good to have a closer look at this. If there is time and energy left we'll also look at time remembered. Tunes attached.

Terry Seabrook session

Our tutor, Terry Seabrook, at the begining of the new year, bought to the co,op a Sunshower of a song in A minor.
Timing being a major part and lots of backings for horns and singers alike.

In our second half we played Jeepers Creepers and a song that Terry wrote himself,  Could Take Your Time.
It was altogether a very good session and we hope to see you all next week for a tutor who loves to play the sax!!

(Thanks to Rob Andrews for the report.)
