Almost 2010 and it has been a good year for the Co-op, lots of new members and lots of great tutors, and a good year for British jazz. Some bands that I have listened to this year are: Polar Bear Acoustic Ladyland, Ivo Neame, The New Jazz Couriers, Troika, Get The Blessing, John McLaughlin, as well as revisiting Chris Potter and McCoy Tyner. Looking forward to blowing some more noise down your ears next year.The jazz co-op, and sixteen nights before xmas!
Jake Goss took the ever popular workshop with the theme "Precision".
We all set about toungeing rhythmic subdivisions, quavers and semi breaths ect and found how to accomplish it with the simple addition of a metronome.
251 exercises's and how everyone should practice and know these in every scale also come to the forefront with solos in abundance.
Even though this could be a simple task for some it was found very refreshing by everyone.
