Fwd: Jazz N Blues Jam night 4th November 2009

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Julian Porreca

Hi all,

On Wednesday 4th November I'm starting a new Jazz N Blues Jam night. We've got a great house band (piano/bass/drums) so if anyone fancies a blow/play, bring your instrument and any charts and we'll no doubt have some fun!!

DATE: Wed-04Nov09
VENUE: "Bradshaws" on Western Road, just opposite Providence.
TIME: Arrive at 7:30/8pm.
OTHER: All guest players will sign up on arrival on a first come first served basis. The vibe is upbeat jazz n blues, but we'll accommodate anything.

If you are interested please could you let me know so we can get an idea of numbers.

Cheers

Fwd: Question Time

Hi

Nick Griffin of the fascist BNP will be on Question Time on Thursday.

I've just sent a message through the Hope not hate website to register my anger and discomfort at this. All the messages will be delivered to David Dimbleby before the show starts - you should send a message too:

http://action.hopenothate.org.uk/questiontime

Together we can send the message that we stand together for hope.

Thanks

there is a strong rumour that Nigel will be running through the great clasic standard All The Things You Are with us on Tuesday so check it out. Let me know if you need the lead sheets. 251s in only 6 keys. Go for it.

Gary Kavanagh session 29.9.09

Gary's last session looked at the Gershwin number Thou Swell. He had us playing like clockwork.
